The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong Recognized Overseas Qualifications

There will not be any automatic recognition of overseas qualifications being equivalent to the exit qualifications for the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong. All candidates must pass the exit examination / assessment before they can be nominated for Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine with suffix of the respective Specialty Board recognized by the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and the Academy. Additional requirement of not less than 12 months of local experiences should normally be required before they can be nominated the Academy Fellowship. However, the Council of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong may from time to time as it may think fit to exempt an individual from the above requirement.
