Dr Patrick Ho-Yu CHUNG 鍾浩宇
- Paediatric surgery
Dr. Patrick Ho-Yu Chung graduated from The University of Hong Kong in 2004 and subsequently received his paediatric surgical training in Queen Mary Hospital. He obtained his fellowship in paediatric surgery in 2011 and is currently Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Paediatric Surgery at The University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Chung has special interests in paediatric gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary surgery including liver transplant. His research focuses on strategies to improve the outcome of various congenital gastrointestinal diseases. He has over 60 publications in international peer-reviewed journal and serves as reviewer or editorial board member in different journals. In 2015, Dr. Chung received the Best Original Paper Award in Surgical Practice from the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong. Besides research activities, Dr. Chung is also a member of various educational committees in the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of The University of Hong Kong and has involved in the paediatric surgical training in Hong Kong by being a committee member of the Board of Paediatric Surgery. He is currently Vice President of the Hong Kong Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition to promote the development of this specialty in Hong Kong.
