It is an autoanalyser with wide flexibilty and versatility for designing different programmed tests. It has been used to perform assays for ammonia, lactate and bile acid for the artifical livers. It was also involved in the project of evaluating lipoprotein levels of atherosclerotic disease. Lp(a) was found to be elevated in most of the patients with peripheral vascular diseases.

An indispensable equipment for the accurate quantification of genetic materials. Genetic materials of disease causative agents such as viruses, bacteria in the patients' serum, body fluid, resected human tissues can be accurately quantified. Quantification of genetic materials can be used for the monitoring of the disease progression. In addition, gene expression analysis of patients' materials can help us to characterize molecular pathways involved in the disease development which may lead to the development of a new and effective therapy in the future.

This system is sometimes called 'Genetic Analyzer' which is an automated apparatus for different DNA electrophoresis applications. The system has automated the procedures for DNA sequencing, mutational screening like SSCP analysis, sizing and quantitation of genetic fragments including genotyping and linkage analysis. This equipment greatly facilitate the research work in molecular genetic and cancer study.
