Biography
Dr. Jiang Liu obtained his Bachelor of Clinical Medicine and Master of Surgery from Nankai University. He then completed his PhD study and received postdoctoral training in transplant oncology and immunology at The University of Hong Kong. Dr. Liu further completed his residency training in General Surgery at Tsinghua Univresity.
Dr. Liu’s expertise involves the mechanism discovery and novel therapeutics development for graft dysfunction and cancer recurrence using immunometabolism, mucosal immunology, and multi-omics approaches. He also engages in translational research for liver cancer treatment using micro-scale biomaterials, as well as liver allograft dysfunction prediction using an Artificial intelligence approach.
Dr. Liu has been a Vanguard Committee member of the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) since 2021 and serves as a faculty member of the 2022 and 2023 ILTS consensus meetings. Additionally, he serves as a Scientific Committee member for the international Living donor liver transplantation registry, a Research Working Group member for the first World Consensus and Guideline Meeting on Perihilar Cholangiocarcinoma, and a steering committee member for the Transplant Science Symposium 2024 Asian Regional Meeting.
